Promoting Safety Through Effective Representation & Advocacy for Victims of Intimate Partner Violence
When:Thursday, February 20, 2014, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST
Safety planning necessitates an on-going dialogue with victims to thoroughly assess the possible adverse impact of various legal and service options. Legal reliefs and services that are commonly sought in most cases may be present barriers to safety for some victims of domestic or sexual violence. The presenter will discuss strategies for developing effective partnerships with victims to promote safety throughout the legal system and beyond.
Presenter: Jennifer Arsenian, J.D., faculty for judicial trainings through the National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence
Registration is open on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will close on February 18, 2014 at 4:00pm EST. Click HERE to register.
