Sojourner Family Peace Center

Sojourner Family Peace Center is seeking an experienced human resources professional to fill the position of Director of Human Resources. This position will oversee and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the human resources and administrative functions of the agency. Responsibilities include agency/HR policy development and implementation, employee benefit plan design and management, and wage and salary administration. The Director of Human Resources will also oversee performance evaluation strategies and implementation, staffing activities and management of employee relations issues. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the agency employee engagement program, training and development activities, and personnel recordkeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related major and five to seven years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to gain the trust of others and communicate with all employee groups. Proven ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Must have prior experience working with employee benefit program design and administration, as well as working knowledge of laws and regulations governing recruiting, employment, recordkeeping and benefits. Prior experience with HRIS (PeopleTrak) preferred.
