Pave - People Against A Violent Environment, Inc.

The mission of PAVE is to empower those affected by violence.  We do this using a three part approach – crisis services, community collaboration and prevention education.  All of our services are free.  Our crisis services are also confidential and available to those both that stay in shelter and to those that continue to live in the community.  Our approach acknowledges the multiple struggles of those who have experienced trauma, focusing on supporting each victim’s choices and educating them in options for a violence free future.  Additional information can be found at our website –

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the CEO of PAVE.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to all duties related to Agency Management, Fiscal Management, Program Management, Facility Management, Human Resource Management, Fund Development, Public Relations and Board Support/Leadership.   A full job description is available upon request.  Position will remain open until filled.

Experience and Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a social services field
  • Three or more years managerial experience, preferably in a non-profit
  • Proven fund development track record, including grant writing and fundraising
  • Demonstrated ability in public speaking
  • Articulate writing
  • Commitment to providing services to victims of violence
  • Ability to lead/coach a team
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Emotional intelligence, including ability to self-regulate and engage in self-care
  • Ability to be on call with reliable 24 hour telephone access
  • Clean background check
  • Valid license, responsible driving record, reliable vehicle

Preferred candidates will also have:

  • Strong IT abilities, including website, desktop , server and social media work
  • Spanish language skills
  • Long term visioning experience
  • Marketing experience
  • Established relationships across Dodge County and/or the domestic violence/sexual assault services community
