OUTREACH COORDINATOR (Full Time)

Sojourner Family Peace Center is seeking an experienced professional to work as an Outreach Coordinator within our Community Domestic Abuse Advocacy Program (CDAAP). The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with community agencies in order to further our agency’s mission and address issues of violence within the community. Responsibilities include attending and participating in meetings involving the Milwaukee Police Department, community associations and other non-profits, as well as offering presentations throughout the community to address violence. The Outreach Coordinator will also perform ongoing data entry, provide support throughout CDAAP and perform advocacy and case management services as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, criminal justice, communication, human resources or relevant field and two to four years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Comprehensive knowledge of statutory framework for domestic abuse, harassment and child abuse injunctions, and knowledge of and experience with legal system, including prior work with victims, police, prosecutors, court commissioners and judges, preferred. Bilingual preferred. Must have own transportation and a valid WI driver’s license.
