What you need:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field or equivalent experience.
Ø Good understanding/demonstrated skills regarding domestic violence & sexual abuse. A thorough understanding of Trauma Informed Care.
Ø Good communication (oral and written), excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task simultaneously.
Ø Ability to work independently and as a team
Ø Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

The Shelter Coordinator provides empathetic and non-judgmental support to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. This position is responsible for case management in helping shelter clients transition to lives that are free of violence. In addition, this position collaborates with community resources and agencies to enhance options and services that are available to victims affected by abuse. This position also coordinates the day to day shelter activities, in compliance with funding source expectations. The Shelter Coordinator provides training and resources to interns, volunteers and staff working in shelter. The individual chosen for this role will work closely with the Program Services Manager to provide data needed for grant reports.
