Legislative Advocacy Day

Tuesday, March 19, 2019 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Madison Concourse & Wisconsin State Capitol, Madison

Join advocates and survivors from all around the state in Madison to advocate with elected officials on issues that are critical to the safety and empowerment of Wisconsin survivors of gender-based violence! Hosted by End Abuse and WCASA, participants will spend the morning at the Madison Concourse hotel learning about pressing policy issues related to domestic abuse and sexual assault, as well as how to talk effectively with legislators. The afternoon will be spent at the Wisconsin State Capitol taking direct action to influence policy change en masse. We encourage participation from interested survivors as we provide a supportive environment for direct legislative advocacy.

All participants are responsible for scheduling meetings with their legislators in advance. Please reach out to your representatives as soon as possible to ensure that they will be able to fit your meeting into their schedule!

Register by March 12 to ensure that we can meet everyone’s needs for the information session!  After March 12, please contact colleenc@endabusewi.org or chaset@endabusewi.org if you were not able to register and still plan to join in.
