Economic Empowerment Train the Trainer: Northeastern Region

Wednesday, February 13, 2019 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Harbor House: 720 W 5th St. Appleton, WI

Please join End Abuse Director of Education and Membership Services Kathryn Chapman and Harbor House Women’s Advocate Michelle Ruhl-Ortize, who will provide information on Financial Empowerment using the Allstate Purple Purse Curriculum, Moving Ahead Through Financial Management.

The Allstate curriculum offers strategies to address the financial and safety challenges survivors face when navigating their options. It also provides resources to strengthen survivors’ confidence in their ability to understand financial fundamentals such as budgeting, saving, building credit and managing debt.  Kathryn and Michelle will share practical tools, resources, and success stories from the Economic Empowerment program at Harbor House.

This training is meant for advocates who can commit to support survivors with financial fundamentals and provide one-on-one or group trainings for survivors.

In addition to this training, we will host a March training in Superior in the Northern region, and an April training LaCrosse in the Western region!
