Learn about Financial Empowerment with the Allstate Purple Purse Curriculum, Moving Ahead Through Financial Management. Julie Yeado and Marleisa Quiles of Sojourner Family Peace Center will share practical tools, resources, and lessons learned from using this curriculum, which offers strategies to address the financial and safety challenges as well as resources to strengthen survivors’ confidence in their ability to understand financial fundamentals such as budgeting, saving, building credit and managing debt.
This free training is designed for advocates who can commit to support survivors with financial fundamentals and provide one-on-one or group trainings for survivors. Registration is limited and will close when full.
This is the first of 4 trainings around the state. In addition to this training, we will host a February training at Harbor House in Appleton in the Northeastern region, a March training in Superior the Northern region, and an April training in the Western region! Additional details coming soon.
