Guardians ad Litem: for Advocates

This training is designed for advocates who want to better understand the role the Guardian ad Litem plays in child custody or placement when domestic abuse is present. It will focus on how a GAL is appointed, responsibilities of the GAL and their specific duties when investigation and reporting domestic abuse, as well as strategies a GAL can use to investigate abuse, including practical considerations. Finally, a case scenario will be discussed.
