During this interaction-based training, you will learn about similarities and differences between domestic violence and sex trafficking as well as ways these two forms of abuse overlap. This training will cover techniques to help advocates foster a more engaging and productive relationship with survivors. Finally, learn about how trafficking survivors may encounter and experience legal systems. You will hear from Carmen Garces, Bilingual Counselor/Advocate, and Will Helling, Child and Teen Advocate, of New Beginnings and Kelsey Mullins, Staff Attorney – Underserved Populations of End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin.
