Restraining Order Basics: A Tool that can Help or Harm

Tuesday, July 12, 2022 10:00 am - 12:30 pm Virtual - Zoom

Join End Abuse’s Kari Niesen-LaScala and Gricel Santiago-Rivera along with fellow advocates to review restraining order law in Wisconsin. The training will use a question-and-answer discussion format and includes “homework” for participants to complete in advance to prepare for the session. We will focus on comprehensive safety planning that includes restraining orders as a tool to aid in the safety of the person seeking help.

Level: Foundational | This series is designed for newer advocates who will be assisting victims with restraining orders. Registrants should plan to review electronic materials provided the week before the training, which may require several hours.

See the attached flyer for additional legal trainings taking place between January and June of 2022.
