Supporting Families Who Have Experienced Trauma

Monday, March 13, 2023 - Friday, March 17, 2023 9:00 am - 12:15 pm

Dates: Monday March 13, Wednesday March 15, & Friday March 17

Join presenters Tracy Plamann (Harbor House) and Cody Warner (End Abuse) for this unique training. Many families who seek our help have lived through multiple traumatic experiences in which domestic abuse has been prominent. The wounds of childhood trauma often drive behavior, feelings, and attitudes into adulthood, and play a powerful role in parenting.

Focusing on the needs of parents as well as children, this program encompasses communication skills and techniques, strategies to reduce stress, and ways to promote positive experiences within the family and the agency. Participation in this training will help domestic abuse program advocates build their capacity for supporting families who have lived through complex trauma.

Level: All experience levels will benefit.

Cost: Training is free for End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin Program Members (see below). The cost for nonmembers is $225 for the entire series, due at registration.

Each End Abuse Program Member that paid their 2023 membership dues received a code that must be entered to waive the registration fee. Members, please be sure you have this code before you begin your registration. To pay your annual membership dues, please click here.
