Supporting Families Who Have Experienced Trauma Spring Series

Monday, June 7, 2021 - Friday, June 11, 2021 9:00 am - 12:15 pm

Save the dates! All three sessions, June 7, 9 and 11, will be in the morning only.

This training will help advocates build their capacity for supporting families, whose wounds from childhood trauma often drive behavior, feelings, and attitudes into adulthood, and play a powerful role in parenting. Focusing on the needs of both parents and children, this series encompasses communication skills and techniques, stress reduction strategies, and ways to promote positive experiences within the family and the agency. Presenters are Tracy Plamann (Harbor House) and Cody Warner (End Abuse).

This training is intended for domestic violence and sexual assault advocates in the state of Wisconsin and not open to the public. Registrants should plan to fully participate in all sessions, and will be individually approved. Capacity is limited, and advocates from End Abuse Member Programs will receive first priority. Others will be added to a waitlist. Please sign up at least a week in advance to secure any accessibility needs.
