Many families who seek our help have lived through multiple traumatic experiences in which domestic abuse has been prominent. The wounds of childhood trauma often drive behavior, feelings, and attitudes into adulthood, and play a powerful role in parenting. This training will help domestic abuse program staff build their capacity for supporting families.
Focusing on the needs of parents as well as children, this program encompasses communication skills and techniques, strategies to reduce stress, and ways to promote positive experiences within the family and the agency.
There is a $50 registration fee to attend. Scholarship applications have now closed. See the flyer for hotel information!
