Surviving with Wild Tongues Film Viewing & Discussion

Join us for a virtual viewing and discussion of the short film, Surviving with Wild Tongues, on Friday December 3 at 10am! Diverse & Resilient’s Kathy Flores and Reiko Ramos will lead discussion for a deeper understanding of the themes explored in the film, in connection to our roles as advocates. Surviving with Wild Tongues centers the lives and experiences of queer, transgender, black, indigenous, working class and/or people of color who are survivors of partner abuse (domestic violence). The film features the voices of six anonymous survivors. Surviving with Wild Tongues, filmed by Jennifer Recinos and starring movement artist, Fabiola Torralba, comes to us courtesy of the Network/La Red. 

This event is part of the LGBTQ Webinar series. Participation fulfills the 2021 DCF training requirement for Wisconsin domestic abuse program staff, which must be completed by December 31, 2021. The discussion, via Zoom, will be recorded for those who are unable to attend on December 3. Participants will not be identified in the recording.
