SA DV Program Specialist

This position offers assistance to people harmed by sexual assault/domestic violence. This position is responsible to work in concert with WWGP staff, TLP Services Team and to maintain complete records of all activities and develop reports as required. This position will receive cross-training and must be prepared to fill in for the team where needed.

 

 

Primary responsibilities

1. Work with WWGP staff, TLP Services Team and community as designated to develop, coordinate and implement SA/DV programming, services, events & activities.
2. Provide trauma infomed advocacy (personal, medical, legal and systems) and serives for people harmed by sexual assault/domestic violence. Assist in responding to hotline/crisis calls.
3. Develop direct case management such as case plans, home visits, family assessment, referrals, including personal safety plan and develop family assistance plans, according to year-long work plan for each participant/family.
4. Conduct home visits; provide assistance to participants, provide transport to events, activities and appointments as required.
5. Perform timely data entry into database, assessment of program progress, preparation of various grant reports, as required. Assist in running data reports for CCR meetings, staff meetings, and as needed.
6. Attend weekly staff meetings and advocate meetings.Work in concert with WWGP staff, TLP services team, and collaborative partners to develop program plans and conduct weekly support sessions, as required.
7. Gather and enter into system all required data, administer surveys and pre-post tests to program participants as required, grant writing.
8. Assist in keeping track of grant goals/progress. Attend/coordinate monthly grant meetings for assigned grant(s) as needed.
9. Provide classes/workshops/sessions in: Relationship Development and wellness activities; Personal Development, Job readiness, Personal Finance, etc. as needed.
10. Co-facilitate culturally responsive workshops and support groups as needed.
11. Conduct, attend, and/or assist activities and/or events as required.
12. Attend trainings related to direct service work as required.
13. All other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Must be knowledgeable of and sensitive to the history and current culture of the community.
2. Must have High School or equivalent degree
3. Prefer Bachelors Degree or higher in social work, human services field or be able to demonstrate qualifying experience/history.
4. Discovery Dating Teacher Certification, current or commit to first opportunity.
5. Prefer minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault prevention, intervention and/or community response to DV/SA.
6. Must agree to adhere to all WWGP policies, procedures and directives.
7. Must be committed to a drug and alcohol free workplace.
8. Must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of various computer programs and office equipment and web-based operations (web site maintenance, Face Book, Twitter, etc.).
8. Must commit to all training required or assigned by supervisor.
9. Must be dependable, courteous and committed to work in cooperation with others.
10. Must be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned projects with punctuality.
11. Must own a licensed, insured, operating vehicle, be licensed & able to drive.
12. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including daytime, evening, weekend, must be willing and able to travel, including training & field trips, etc.
13. Must have satisfactory work history.
14. Must pass background check & be bondable.
15. Must commit in writing to maintain confidentiality for all participants/families.
