Shelter Advocate – Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS)

Full Time – 1st & 2nd Shift Monday-Friday
Part Time – Overnight & Weekends

Starts at $16.00 per hour, $0.75 additional shift differential for overnight shifts

•Advocates work directly with our emergency shelter residents and their children.

•Advocates provide emotional support, build community, and help connect residents to resources.

•Advocates assist residents with daily living needs.

•Advocates make a difference in the lives of our residents and ultimately in our community.

Who are we looking for?

•High school, or equivalent, graduates.

•Prefer two years of experience working with trauma survivors

.•Experience in a residential setting and crisis intervention is also preferred.

•Knowledge of domestic violence issues and bilingual abilities are beneficial.
