Primary responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing clientele with emergency and follow-up strength-based counseling services
  • Assessment of individual needs
  • Treatment for individual counseling needs
  • Ensures appropriate and timely record keeping
  • Facilitates support groups
  • Participates in public education work
  • Maintains a clean office and communal space
  • Attends and participates in full staff meetings, outreach meetings, direct service meetings and monthly meetings with the executive director
  • Is present at functions and fundraisers of the organization

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work required
  • Maintenance of licensure and individual liability insurance required
  • Education / Understanding of trauma counseling; AODA issues, crisis response, recovery, assessment and experiences with treatment planning required
  • Positive and professional image required
  • Extreme tact and discretion, attention to detail and commitment to excellence required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking preferred
