This year's program includes 24 workshops, 2 peer roundtable sessions with over 10 covered topics, educational and enthusiastic plenary speakers including keynote addresses by Dr. Bettina Love;  Rosa Clemente; and Ajani Carr, as well as, entertaining topic related performances.  We anticipate our highest attendance yet, with over 500-600 participants!

The mission of the Teen Summit is to raise awareness about teen dating violence and sexual assault while also connecting the issue to the lives of teens throughout Wisconsin. Through a variety of diverse and varied workshops, participants will explore ways to promote healthy relationships and prevent dating violence and sexual assault. It will be a celebration of our many successes, as well as, a time to revive and strengthen ourselves and our movement. We welcome attendees to challenge preconceived notions on how to deal with these issues and learn new strategies for successful prevention and education on teen issues.

Peer Roundtables at a Glance

The roundtable discussion topics will be repeated for BOTH roundtable sessions.

The following roundtable topics are for YOUTH only. Youth-led roundtables are spaces that have been intentionally created to allow for youth, under the age of 21, to connect with their peers on a specific topic they have experience with or are curious to hear more about. These spaces are for youth and facilitated by youth. There will be only ONE trusted adult allowed in the space for support and conversations are confidential.

After the youth presenters talk about their experiences with the topic, participants will be encouraged to sit at tables and have small group conversations with their peers that are close in age. This space is not action or skill-building focused, it is specifically for dialogue, self-reflection and relationship building. We hope you enjoy and are able to change the way you see or understand the topic presented.
