Foundations of Advocacy Training Fall Series

This series is designed for advocates who are new to domestic abuse programs. End Abuse staff will be joined by guest presenters Ana Price, of Domestic Abuse Intervention Services; Missy Jerome, Angela Frieze, and Jessica Christianson , of Embrace. Topics will include: Movement History, Dynamics of Interpersonal Violence, Trauma Sensitive Practices and Self Care, Crisis Counseling, Safety Planning, Confidentiality, and Advocacy and Systems.  We will build in time for discussion, review and practice with your peers.

Know More, Do More: Recognizing & Responding to Stalking

Stalking is a prevalent, dangerous and often misunderstood crime. This training will explore the dynamics of stalking, focusing on the highly contextual nature of the crime by discussing common tactics used by perpetrators, stalking’s co-occurrence with domestic and sexual violence, as well as tools to plan for victim safety and hold offenders accountable.
