This webinar will examine the difficulties in understanding and communicating from varied cultural standpoints. Issues that may confuse or interfere with the healing intent of domestic abuse, sexual assault and shelter programs will be considered. We will include a question and answer session with panelists who are experienced in bridging tribal and nontribal advocacy.

Participants will leave this presentation with an understanding of the development of the MMIW WI Task Force while looking at the many issues that lead up to the larger problem of MMIWG2S, such as Human Trafficking. They will also hear from allies and organizers who will share examples of good allyship, collaboration, ways to engage, and current solutions grassroots organizations are implementing now.
