Racism creates and compounds chronic trauma. Traumatic experiences and recovery from trauma create stress in social interactions, contributing to negative outcomes observable in arenas such as health and education. Using the trauma model as a framework, these anti-racism workshops analyze poor and exemplary responses to racialized stressful events in order to improve our ability to function.

Our fourth webinar in the Bridging Tribal and Non-Tribal Advocacy series will focus on the legal aspects of the challenges of Native American survivors in the legal/court context.

Join advocates and survivors from across Wisconsin in this free, virtual event hosted by the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault and End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin to advocate with elected officials on issues that are critical to the safety and empowerment of survivors.

The annual Teen Summit is End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin’s largest training, bringing youth, parents, educators, activists, and mentors from all over WI to learn about healthy relationships, teen dating violence, and sexual assault within a larger anti-oppression framework. This will be our FIRST EVER completely virtual, completely FREE Teen Summit!

Join Jennifer Johnson, JD (RISE Law Center), Kari LaScala, JD (End Abuse), and Jeni Haddad (Family Support Center) and fellow advocates to review restraining order law in Wisconsin, using a question and answer discussion format. 

This training will help advocates build their capacity for supporting families, whose wounds from childhood trauma often drive behavior, feelings, and attitudes into adulthood, and play a powerful role in parenting.

This series is designed for advocates who are new to domestic abuse programs. Topics will include: History of the Movement & Dynamics of Interpersonal Violence, Trauma & Self Care, Crisis Counseling & Safety Planning, Confidentiality & Systems, and a final session for Review & Practice.
