DV Homicide Prevention Roundtable

In 2016, Wisconsin experienced the highest number of domestic violence-related homicides since End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin began tracking this information in the year 2000. Spend a day learning about and discussing ways that we can work together to reduce this grim statistic.

Basic Restraining Order Training

This training is designed for any advocate who will assist individuals to obtain restraining orders. Participants will learn how to help a victim assess whether they want a restraining order and explain the process to obtain one, determine eligibility for different types of orders, and assist a victim to complete a petition and to prepare for court. Recent legislation related to restraining orders will be covered. This training will also be offered in the Fall. See the flyer and agenda for additional details.

Foundations of Advocacy: Spring 2019

This training is designed for new domestic abuse and sexual assault advocates. For two days participants will gather to review DV dynamics, trauma, counseling basics, and advocating within systems. Participants will have time for practicing skills and self-care during this highly interactive training, which is also offered in the Fall. Registration is now at capacity. Spring Statewide Directors Meeting

Domestic violence, sexual assault and tribal executive directors meet for two days - May 8th & 9th - to learn, share, challenge and enhance sexual assault and domestic violence services in our state. End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin co-sponsors the meeting with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault and American Indians Against Abuse. The fall meeting takes place in September. Registration is NOT yet open, but registration information and additional details will be available soon!
