Domestic violence victim advocates across Wisconsin are once again expressing their concern over the most recent attempts by the Trump administration to curb legal immigration in the United States.

Every two years, End Abuse releases our legislative agenda, which summarizes our priorities for proactive policy and social change to end domestic abuse in Wisconsin. View our legislative priorities in our 2019-2020 Legislative Agenda, designed to function as a comprehensive document and as one-pagers to be used when advocating for specific issues.

End Abuse requests proposals for a presenter to facilitate training for tribal and rural domestic abuse and sexual assault advocates, focused on trauma-sensitive work with survivors of gender-based violence, individuals and communities impacted by trauma, in August 2019. Proposals are due April 29.

End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin is in solidarity with Chrystul Kizer, the #FreeChrystul Defense Committee and all those throughout Milwaukee, Kenosha, Wisconsin and the nation who are calling on the district attorney to drop his charges against Chrystul.

In the last week, the Trump Administration once again demonstrated its antipathy towards victims of abuse and trafficking and those seeking asylum in the United States with several unprecedented announcements that will jeopardize survivors’ ability to safely enter the country and seek available legal protections to which they are entitled.

Following the United States Senate’s vote today to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, advocates for victims of domestic violence are speaking out to emphasize both their outrage over the proceedings, but also their lack of surprise at the behavior of President Trump and his nominee throughout the process.
