Under the direct supervision of the Latina Resource Center Program Manager, the Bilingual Domestic Violence Advocate will provide direct and remote advocacy services to immigrant and migrant individuals impacted by domestic violence. The advocate will collaborate and coordinate services with other key agencies to ensure safety, support and independence for the participants.

Plan and implement education, training and prevention programming throughout Dane County. Increase awareness and knowledge of domestic violence issues as well as address the primary prevention of dating, domestic and sexual violence. Present awareness-raising presentations to community partners and other stakeholders while prevention programming consists of working with schools and other community partners to co-facilitate groups for youth aimed at addressing the root causes of domestic violence.

The Program Capacity and Support (PCS) Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position working closely with local agencies, statewide partners and national partners to support the capacity and sustainability of domestic violence services and programs to serve victims through training and technical assistance (TA) and in-person program visits. The PCS Coordinator will work to strengthen the work of the Wisconsin domestic abuse program community, and will focus on culturally-specific programs. To do so, the PCS Coordinator will promote the development of an inclusionary leadership, organizational development, and innovation in advocacy practices.
